プランターのスナップエンドウに、花が咲きました。

種まきは、2021年10月23日に行ったので、ここまでで４か月です。

Snap peas come into bloom. 

It took about 4 months to bloom after planting seeds in the container 01 and 02.

ジャガイモの植え付け/Planting potatoes

ジャガイモの植え付けをプランター01、プランター06、地植えスペースに行いました。

I planted potatoes at container01, container06 and ground planting space.

１．種イモの準備/Preparation for seed potatoes

種イモは、男爵芋にしました。

４個が、我が家の近所で手に入る最小の数量です。

これ以上の数だと植え付ける場所がないので、この個数がちょうどいいところです。

The seed potatoes are "Irish Cobbler potato" in this year.

I bought four seed potatoes."Four" is the smallest quantity which I can buy in my neighborhood.

The quantity is suitable for my gardening space.

それぞれ、縦切りにして1/2サイズにします。

I cut the center of potato to create 1/2-size seed potato. 

切り口に草木灰をまぶします。

乾燥させる方法もあるそうですが、今のところ、この方法です。

I sprinkle wood ash over the cut surface.

２．プランター01/Container01

ジャガイモは、種イモの上にイモができるため、プランターでは、土寄せ用に、植え付け前に土を出しています。

Before planting, I remove soil temporarily because it is difficult to earth up potatoes in restrict space.

プランター01には、1/2サイズ１個を切り口を下にして植え付けました。

I planted one 1/2-size seed potato with the cut surface facing down in the container 01.

３．プランター06/Container06

こちらは、初めて使うプランターのため、最初から土は少なめにしており、そのまま植え付けます。

Soil was less from the beginning because I use this container for the first time.

プランター06には、1/2サイズ３個のうち、１つは切り口を上に、２つは切り口を下にして植え付けました。

切り口を上にすることが、程よいストレスとなり、抵抗性が高まるそうです。

また、芽の数は、少なくなるので、芽かきの必要はないそうです。

I planted two 1/2-size seed potato with the cut surface facing down and one with the cut surface facing up in the container 06.

Upside down of the cut surface receives an appropriate level of stress, and become immnue from the disease.

Moreover,  it is said that we don't need to thin out the sprouts because the number of sprouts will be fewer.

４．地植えスペース/Ground planting space

こちらも同様に、土寄せ用に土をだしました。

Before planting, I remove soil temporarily as well as the container01.

地植えスペースは、1/2サイズ４個のうち、２つは切り口を上に、２つは切り口を下にして植え付けました。

I planted two 1/2-size seed potato with the cut surface facing down and two with the cut surface facing up in ground planting space.

ミズナの収穫/Harvest of potherb mustard

2022年2月20日、本日の最高気温は10.0℃、最低気温は3.9℃です。

Maximum temperature is 10.0℃ and minimum temperature is 3.9℃ on February 20th, 2022.

プランター02のミズナを収穫しました。

1月半前と比べてだいぶ生長しました。

I harvested potherb mustard at the container02.

収穫前/Before harvest

５株あったので、そのうち３株を下３cm残して収穫しました。

３株は、再生した後、再収穫です。

収穫しなかった２株は、もう少し遅く収穫しても、美味しく食べられるか確認です。

There were 5 plants. I harvested 3 of them at around 3 cm below above the base.

I will harvest them again after growing up.

Regarding unharvested 2 plants, I want to know whether the best timing to eat even if I harvest a little bit late.

コマツナの収穫/Harvest of Japanese mustard spinach

2022年2月13日、本日の最高気温は5.0℃、最低気温は1.0℃です。

Maximum temperature is 5.0℃ and minimum temperature is 1.0℃ on February 13th, 2022.

プランター01と地植えスペースのコマツナを収穫しました。

日当たりが良くないので、地植えスペースのコマツナは徒長気味でしたが、プランター01と合わせてまとまった量が収穫できました。

I harvested Japanese mustard spinach at the container01 and ground planting space.

Japanese mustard spinach at the ground planting were leggy because of bad sunlight condition.

この時期、アオムシの食害はありませんが、じわりじわりと何者かにかじられました。

Although I was not able to find the cabbage worms which love eating cruciferous plants because of winter season, but it was gradually bitten by someone.

合わせて、ラディッシュを収穫しました。

こちらは、寒さのせいか、生長がいまいちでした。

葉っぱを食べました。

In addition, I harvested radishes.

These radishes were immature because of the cold weather.

But I ate the these leaves.

プランターでアスパラガス栽培/Cultivation of the Asparagus in container

2022年2月12日、本日の最高気温は9.9℃、最低気温は0.2℃です。

Maximum temperature is 9.9℃ and minimum temperature is 0.2℃ on February 12th, 2022.

プランター05は、アスパラガスを栽培しています。

今年で、2年目、来月は、うまくいけば、芽がでるはずです。

I've cultivated the asparagus in container 05.

This asparagus has been second year on this month since the cultivation started at this month.

It will sprout next month.

冬の間に繁茂した雑草を半分除草しました。

残りの半分はそのままです。

I removed weeds which has grown during winter from half of container.

除草していない半分でも芽がでるのか？！

I wonder whether the asparagus sprout from area which has not remove weeds.

プランター紹介その５/ Introduction of Container Part5

２０２２年2月6日、本日の最高気温は11.6℃、最低気温は0.3℃です。

ジャガイモ用にプランターを一つ追加しました。

福岡のカバン屋さんが販売しているガーデニンググッズです。

I bought new container for the cultivation of the potatoes.

The new one is sold by a bag shop in Fukuoka.

・ガーデニングコンテナ/１Gardening Container：300φ　300mm 

土の準備をしました。

再利用しやすいように、ネットに入った鉢底石を入れます。

Firstly, I put the stone pebbles with net at the bottom of the container in order to encourage it to drainage.

The net helps me to reuse the stone pebbles.

土づくりです。

土は、ココヤシチップを原料にした土を使っています。

Next, it is mixing soil.

I use the compost from coconut chips.

水を入れると膨らみます。

I put the water to the compost and mix it.

After that, the compost expand with water.

準備ができました。

ここには、ジャガイモを植える予定です。

It's ready to go.

I plan to plant the potatoes.
