2022年プランターでの長ネギ栽培まとめ/Summary of Scallion Cultivation in Container

2022年のプランターでの長ネギ栽培のまとめです。

This is a summary of scallion cultivation in container in 2022.

３月31日：種まき/Seeding on 31st on March.

プランターの半分（赤丸の部分）に長ネギの種を蒔きました。

I seeded the scallion in the container(red circle on the following photo).

4月16日：発芽（種まき17日目）/Sprout on 16th April (17 days after seeding)

種まき後、約17日で、ポツポツと発芽しました。

Scallion sprouted 17 days after seeding.

5月15日：土寄せ1回目（種まき46日目）/1st Earthing up on 15th May (46 days after seeding)

大きくなってきたので土寄せしました（プランターなので、土の追加）。

土は、分岐しているところまで追加ました。

I earthed up scallion in the container as it got bigger.

I added soil up to the point where scallion stalk were diverged.

6月19日：土寄せ2回目（種まき81日目）/2nd Earthing up on 19th June (81 days after seeding)

2回目の土寄せを行いました。

写真の見た目は、小さくなったように見えますが、少し大きくなっています

I earthed up scallion in the container again.

Although It looks like smaller in the picture, it has gotten little bigger.

7月23日：土寄せ3回目（種まき115日目）/3td Earthing up on 23rd July (115 days after seeding)

3回目の土寄せを行いました。

大きくなっているはずと思いきや、まったく太くなりません...

I earthed up scallion in the container again.

Contrary to my expectation, these scallion have not became bigger. 

8月27日：土寄せ4回目（種まき150日目）/4th Earthing up on 27th August (150 days after seeding)

4回目の土寄せを行いました。

この時点で、徐々に枯れていき、残り２株となりました。

The scallion gradually withered and two plants remained. 

I earthed up the scallion in the container again.

10月9日：様子（種まき193日目）/Condition on 9th October (193 days after seeding)

この時期から、ネギがだんだん太くなってきました。

The scallion started becoming thicker and thicker at this time.

11月16日：収穫（種まき231日目）/Harvest on 16th November (231 days after seeding)

3月末の種まきから、約７か月、長ネギを収穫しました。

途中、枯れてしまい、最終的に２株となりましたが、なんとか収穫まで辿り着きました。

見た目は、長ネギというより葉ネギです。

I harvested scallion about 7 months after seeding at the end of March.

Some plant withered on the way and two plants finally had survived.

But, It looks more like a green onion than scallion.

今年の長ネギ栽培は、以上です。

ドングリの水耕栽培：根が伸びてきました/Grow the acorn by water culture: Growing root

10月29日にスタートしたドングリの水耕栽培、約２週間で、根がずいぶん長くなりました。

The roots have become much longer about two weeks after hydroponic  of acorn started on 29th October.

片方は、順調に育っているものの、もう一つ、どうやら失敗。根が、黒っぽくなっています...

One is growing well, but the other seems to have failed. The root is blackish...

別のドングリで再スタート。

 I started hydroponic of another acorns again.

一番最初に始めたドングリは、途中で根の生長が止まってしまいましたが、細かい根がでています。

Although the acorns that I started hydroponic at first stopped growing, it still has tiny another root.

プランターの長ネギの収穫/ Harvest of Scallion in the container

2022年11月6日、本日の最高気温は18.4℃、最低気温は10.0℃です。

Maximum temperature is 18.4℃ and minimum temperature is 10.0℃ on November 6th, 2022.

内容/Content

1.収穫：長ネギ/Harvest: Scallion

2.様子：ブロッコリー/Condition:Broccoli

3月末の種まきから、約７か月、長ネギを収穫しました。

途中、枯れてしまい、最終的に２株となりましたが、なんとか収穫まで辿り着きました。

見た目は、長ネギというより葉ネギです。

I harvested scallion about 7 months after seeding at the end of March.

Some plant withered on the way and two plants finally had survived.

But, It looks more like a green onion than scallion.

本日の収穫：上段、左上から、レタス、間引いたダイコンの葉、ニラ、下段、長ネギ

Today's harvest: From left side on upper line, Lettuce, leaves of Daikon, Garlic chives, On the lower line, Scallion

2.様子：ブロッコリー/Condition: Broccoli

植付けから、約１ヶ月、ブロッコリーが順調に大きくなってきました。

所々葉っぱが、虫喰いにあっています。

キク科のレタスで、周りを固めましたが、期待された害虫忌避の効果は、小さかったようです。

These broccolis have grown rapidly about a month after planting.

But, there are some insect-eaten leaves of the broccolis.

I expected the effect of repels pests by lettuce of the Asteraceae plant, the effect was not perfect as well as my expectation.
